Supplies Needed

Colorful Assorted Card Stock

Repositionable Glue Sticks

Pencil

Ruler

Scissors

Step by Step Instructions

1) Use a ruler to draw a line the width of the ruler across the bottom (this line will be the depth of the box).
2) Turn the paper around and repeat on the other side.
3) Fold the card over on these lines.
4) Fold one side of the card over to the inside of the line on the opposite side, and make a fold line.
5) Open it up and repeat on the other side.
6) This will give you two fold lines in the middle of your card (you can trace over these lines so they are easier to see).
7) Use the ruler to draw a line the same width down each side of the card.
8) Take some scissors and cut each of the short lines along the long sides of the paper (8 cuts).
9) Bend over the tabs and apply some glue to start sticking the box together.
10) Repeat for the lid, and if you like you can use binder clips to hold it all in place while the glue dries.
11) Remove the clips once the glue is dry.

By following the easy steps in this tutorial, your DIY cardboard gift boxes will be ready to give to your friends and family. I have already received plenty of compliments on the ones I've made. You can make these beautiful gift boxes for any occasion, while showing off your creativity!
