How to Make an Easy Tabletop Christmas Tree at HomeThe holidays are coming up soon, and it is that time of the year to start putting up the Christmas decorations.

A fun activity around our house is being creative and making our own decorations, instead of purchasing the store bought ones.

One of the essential holiday decorations to have is a mini Christmas Tree as a table centerpiece, or to even put on your window sills.

This tutorial video will show you how to make an easy tabletop Christmas tree at home. Do this craft activity with your family, and use such tree to add to your collection of DIY Christmas decorations.


Supplies Needed

Mini Hot Temperature Melting Glue Gun Kit

Gold Crafting Ribbon

White Crafting Ribbon

Ruler

Scissors

Pencil

Glue

A4 Origami Sheet


Step by Step Instructions

1) Take the origami paper sheet and roll it into a cone shape.
2) Apply glue on the edge of the paper to hold the cone together.
3) Measure 20 cm. from the top of the cone to the base, and mark this spot all the way around the cone.
4) Cut along these markings around the cone in order to get a flat cone base.
5) Measure and cut 9 cm. strips of both the gold and white crafting ribbon.
6) Overlap the ends of the strips, apply some hot glue in between, and stick these ends together.
7) Repeat with many pieces of the ribbon.
8) Take the cone, apply a dab of hot glue near the base, and apply one white piece of ribbon to this spot.
9) Apply another dab of hot glue directly next to the first white piece, and repeat with another piece of white ribbon all the way around the cone.
10) Then directly in between, and slightly above these white pieces of ribbon, add another dab of glue, and apply a gold piece of ribbon.
11) Apply another dab of glue directly next to this first gold piece, and repeat with another piece of gold ribbon all the way around the cone.
12) Alternate rows of white and gold pieces up the cone to the top.
13) Cut two identical small stars out of thin cardboard, paint with colored glitter, and apply with hot glue to the top of the tree.



By following the easy steps in this tutorial, your tabletop Christmas Tree will be ready to show off. I have one on my kitchen table, and have already received plenty of compliments on it. Start making these beautiful trees for the holiday season, and give a unique look to your home!
