Egg and Muffin Toaster

Having an egg and muffin toaster in your kitchen appliance collection can be a real time saver.

One of my favorite breakfast foods in the whole world is the Egg McMuffin from McDonald’s. Whenever I am running late in the morning, and I don’t have enough time to make a hearty breakfast to start my day, I would normally make the trip there to pick one up on the way to work.

There was a time where I would go multiple times per week, but this got expensive as things started to add up quickly.

As such, I thought why not try to make my own version at home, and save a little money by doing so?

This is when I came across these egg and muffin toasters online. When there is no time for breakfast, these little multi-taskers will pump out delicious toast and eggs faster than you can brew a pot of coffee.

Pour a little water into the reservoir and crack an egg into the tiny pan suspended above, then toss a few pieces of bread in the double-slot toaster and press a button.

While the egg finishes cooking, the toaster’s heat coils cool down to prevent charred toast, with a separate steaming tray designed to heat precooked meats. Homemade fast food without the dirty dishes sure beats drive-thru!

2 Slice Egg and Muffin Toaster

This 2 slot West Bend Egg and Muffin Toaster is able to warm pre-cooked meats and poach an egg with steam, at the same time it toasts croissants, bagel, English muffins or other bread items.

Its wide slots feature a high toast lift capable for the removal of croissants, bagels, etc. with ease, while its meat warming tray, which lies on top of the egg cooker, can heat up any vegetables, pre-cooked meats, or even pineapple slices for an easy sandwich.

Its steam poaching egg cooker takes approximately four minutes, and also includes an egg basket for boiling up to four eggs at one time.

It also includes 8 browning control settings from a light toast to a dark toast, concealed cord storage, a cancel button, built-in auto shut off, and a slide-out crumb tray.

This 4 slot West Bend Egg and Muffin Toaster is able to perform similar tasks and functions of the 2 slot version above, but with double the capacity for making larger quantities of food.

It features 2 meat warming trays (instead of 1 per above), and its boiled egg basket can accommodate 8 eggs (instead of 4 per above).

Separate browning control settings with 8 levels on each side of the toaster allow two people to have two different levels of preferred toasting simultaneously.

Other features include a defrost function for frozen breads, a bagel function for the precise amount of toasting on the sliced side of the bagel, and a cancel button on both sides of the toaster as well.

The toaster features 4 extra-wide slots allowing it to accommodate a vast array of thick breads and bagels, self-aligning guides for even toasting, 2 trays for poaching the perfect eggs, a side warmer for heating up pre-cooked meats, and a tray for steaming foods such as hard boiled eggs.

Overall pre-set cooking/toasting functions include Toast, Egg, Egg/Toast, and Cancel buttons, as well as separate Defrost, Bagel, and Cancel control buttons for each side of the toaster. Additionally, browning shade knobs precisely control the toasting times for your preferred toast level.

This toaster also includes a high-lift lever that raises toast for easy, safe removal, as well as a storage drawer that stores both dishwasher safe poaching trays when not in use.
