Today’s open floor plans make it harder, in some cases, to put up a pet barrier. Our entryway is not only very wide but opens up to the dining room on one side and the stairway on the other. You have to think about the best placement, measure that space, and then find an option that will securely fit into that space. In fact, I would suggest deciding on exactly where you want to put the gate and then choosing the best one for that spot.

This pressure mounted dog gate measures 30" tall, features a strong steel frame, and a walk-through design for added convenience.

The gate's handle uses a lever-style action allowing the door to be easily opened with one hand, and in one direction, by simply lifting up on handle to unlock, and pushing it back down to lock.

It can be extended between 29" and 39" wide, so it is ideal for the bottom of staircases and the widths of most standard entries or doorways (which are typically between 24" and 36"). It does come with a 6" extension hardware kit if you do happen to need additional width to fit your particular walls.

Due to the bar threshold running along the bottom of the gate, it is not recommended to be placed at the top of stairways due to this being a tripping hazard.

It also includes 4 plastic wall cups for additional security, and for saving your walls from being damaged from the spindle rods. Additional hardware is included for a more permanent installation.

The spaces between the slats are generally between 2.25" to 2.75", with a few of the more narrower spaces being closer to 1".
